The Smile That's Gone

A fake smile is put on her face before she steps out of the house.
She looks around her world,
wondering, if she'll have to do this for the rest of her life;
Because everyday she wants to cry.
Everyday she wants to give up, wants to run away,
From all of the troubles, from all of the pain.
She wants to leave this place, she wants to fantasize,
but it's not possible, she shouldn't try.
Outside is a smile, more like a mask,
Hiding the sorrows that make her sad.
In her heart, there's a storm that rages
Like a book, with torn pages.
Her shoulders are heavy because there's so much to carry.
How could she put on a face so merry?
She walks outside, with a deadly soul.
Her heart is broken; it feels so cold.
Trapped in a world, filled with lies,
No wonder she always want to cry.
Her dreams were deferred, they drifted away,
All because she looked back on yesterday.
She didn't want to let go. She wasn't that strong
Even though she knew she had to move on.
But that's only part of her unbreakable life.
There are times when she thought of suicide
She realized that that wasn't the thing to do,
But she still had things keeping her from pulling through.
When they asked her, she said she was doing just fine,
But deep inside, was where her depression lied.
And she just wanted to break out from this place,
Because of the hatred, because of disgrace.
This world she lives in, it's just like a war,
Because every day, love hurts more and more.
But every day, she put a fake smile on,
Just so her friends won't notice ... the smile that's gone.

Thanks... I was writing it while I was listening to the Feels Like Home song I just posted. It set a sad mood, so I was crying. And, so yea. Crying or Very sad
