I Love (Loathe) My Daddy

I love my Daddy,
He treats me well.

He slaps and scratches,
The skin covering my bones.

He punches and pulls,
My stomach and hair.

I love my Daddy,
He knows what is best.

And to be his good girl,
I need a good smack.

My Daddy is wonderful,
In many ways.

He tells me I'm ugly,
And stupid.

He helps to raise my self-esteem,
Telling me I'm a whore.

He is the greatest man that has ever lived,
Yet Mommy doesn't know who he truly is....

(He's the man, on Christmas who's the Grinch.
He's the man that yells for no reason.
He's the man that hurts me because it's a stern talking.
He's the man that shows what tough love is, and what love is not.)

He'll drag me on the floor,
As a morning kiss.

He'll kick me when I'm down,
Only to tell me to stand tall and fight.

But I cannot, because he's my papa....
And I love him.

My father is greater,
Then murderers.

He's greater then knives and bats.
For he uses his hands instead to damage me more.

He is my inspiration,
To keep mouthing off, even though I know I'll get in trouble.

This man protects me from myself.
I'm a bad influence when I look in the mirror, he says.

I loved my Daddy,
I thought he treated me well.

I now see
He never even cared.

From thinking it over and over....
